Ubuntu recovery of deleted files

Ubuntu provides several ways to recover deleted files. Here are some of them:

1. Using a program to restore data: There are many tools, such as TestDisk or PhotoRec, which allow you to scan the disk and find deleted files. Install one of these tools via the Ubuntu package manager (apt-get) and follow the instructions for use.

2. Checking the trash: If you accidentally deleted files using the Ubuntu GUI, they can be moved to the trash before final deletion. Simply open the Recycle Bin on your desktop or use the `trash-cli' command to view the contents of your Recycle Bin through the terminal.

3. Using the system time reservation (Time Machine): If you activated the Time Machine function before the file was lost, it will be possible to return to an earlier system save point and access the necessary information.

4. Use a Live CD/USB driver: Boot from a USB drive or DVD with a fresh Ubuntu image without actually installing it on your computer's hard drive.
- Open the file manager and view the disk partitions where previously deleted files were located.
– If you find the desired file or folder, copy it to a safe place.

It is important to remember that the sooner you start the recovery process after deleting a file, the more chances you have to return the lost information. Try to avoid writing to the hard drive until the data recovery process is complete to prevent overwriting old file fragments with new information.
