Restore data from a backup copy

Restoring data from a backup is an important process that can help restore lost or damaged files. Here are some steps for successful data recovery:

1. Check the availability of backup copies: Make sure you have an available and up-to-date backup copy of the necessary files. Different programs offer different methods of creating backups (local disk, cloud storage, etc.), so check your system.

2. Determine the location of the file/files: If you know the exact path to the lost file or its name, it will greatly facilitate the search process when using data recovery programs.

3. Use specialized software: There are a large number of programs for data recovery with various functions and the ability to work with certain types of file systems (NTFS/FAT32/exFAT). Some of the most popular tools are Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free Edition or TestDisk & PhotoRec.

4. Run the selected program: The installation program must be run after installation. You may need to select the type of file system you are working with (NTFS/FAT32/exFAT) and specify a location to scan.

5. View the results: When the program finishes scanning the disk or partition, it will display a list of found files. You should browse this list and find the data you need.

6. Data recovery: If you find your lost files in the list of program search results, check the corresponding items and start the data recovery procedure. Make sure that the target storage location is not the same disk/partition where the file was deleted - this will help to avoid overwriting old data with new ones.

It is important to know:
– The sooner the recovery process begins after the case of file deletion / damage to stored information, the greater the chance to receive the full amount of correct information
