Restoring deleted files from the recycle bin

Restoring deleted files from the Recycle Bin can be a fairly simple process if you act quickly. Here are some recovery methods:

1. Drag the file back to the folder: If you accidentally deleted the file and it's still in the Recycle Bin, open an Explorer window (Windows Explorer) or Finder (on Mac), find the file you want, and drag it back to the desktop or another folder.

2. "Restore" context menu: Select the desired elements with the mouse, right-click on them and select the "Restore" option. This will return the selected object(s) to the same place where they were before deletion.

3. Use the command prompt: You can open the command prompt via the "Start" -> "Run" menu, and then type cmd.exe and press Enter.
– For Windows, use the following command:
“`
cd \Recycle
dir /ah
copy filename location_to_create_copy\new_filename
“`

4. Data recovery software: There is a large amount of third-party software that can help recover deleted files from the recycle bin. Some popular programs for Windows: Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard and Disk Drill; and for Mac – Disk Drill or Stellar Data Recovery.

It is important to note that the faster you act after deleting a file from the recycle bin, the greater the chances of its successful recovery. Therefore, it is recommended not to use the computer before the data recovery process begins and save new data only on other drives (without affecting the storage location of lost files).
