Restoration of moved files

Restoring moved files can be a fairly simple process if you know the exact location of their new location. However, if you do not remember or accidentally deleted the folder with the moved files, then you will need to use special programs for data recovery.

Below I will tell you about the two main methods of restoring moved files:

1. Check the trash: When we drag or "move" files to a Windows computer (and some other operating systems), they are usually sent to the trash before final deletion. If your fragment has only been moved and has not yet been cleared from the trash, open it and find the desired item there.

2. Use data recovery software: There is a large amount of free and commercial data recovery software available online. Some of the most popular tools are Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free Edition and Disk Drill.

To start the process:
a) Download the selected program from the developer's link;
b) Install the program on your computer;
c) Run the program and follow the instructions for data recovery.

Please note that the sooner you start the recovery process after deleting or moving files, the more likely you are to recover lost data. In addition, do not forget to save all found files on another disk or drive to prevent overwriting of information.

It is important to note that the success of recovery operations depends on many factors: the time since the file was deleted/moved; the use of storage space (if new data was written over the old); hard disk status and so on. Therefore, there is always a possibility of complete or partial success when trying to complete this task.
