Restoring from backup

Restoring data from a backup copy is an important process for ensuring the safety and security of information. In case of loss or damage of files on the computer, having an up-to-date backup copy allows you to quickly return all data.

There are several ways to restore data from a backup copy:

1. Use of software for creating and managing backup copies (backup software). Many operating systems offer their tools for automatic backup creation, such as Time Machine on macOS or File History on Windows 10. With the help of these programs, you can easily select the necessary files or entire disks/partitions for archiving and subsequent restoration.

2. If you use an online data storage server (cloud storage), it is often possible to independently download the required information from it after removing it from your devices.

3. Another method is the use of physical storage devices: hard disk, USB flash drive, DVD-RW, and the like.
You can transfer data directly from this by placing its contents on your computer.

4. If you have a backup copy of the data on a separate medium (for example, a hard disk or a USB flash drive), you can connect it to the computer and copy the necessary files back to your main disk.

It is important to remember that for a successful recovery from a backup copy, the actuality of the backup version itself is required. Regular creation of new backup copies will minimize the potential loss of information in the event of problems with the stability of the system or hardware failures.
