Recovery of a micro sd flash drive
Restoring a microSD flash drive can be somewhat more difficult than in the case of a regular USB flash drive. However, there are several methods that you can try.
1. Check the contacts: Make sure that the contacts on the card and in the card reader or reading device are working properly. Use a soft brush or aluminum foil to clean the gold contact pads on the card.
2. Use programs to restore data: There are many free programs (for example, Recuva) that can scan damaged cards and extract data from them.
3. Formatting through the command line: If your computer sees the card as an "unformatted" device, you can use the Windows Command Prompt (CMD) disk formatting tool to correct it.
– Press Win + R simultaneously
– Type cmd.exe and press Enter
– The command line window is called; type diskpart
> list disk // display a list of available disks
> select disk X // select the desired disk number (X)
> clean // delete all partitions on the disk
> create partition primary // creation of a new primary partition
> format fs=fat32 quick // formatting to FAT32 file system
4. Use specialized software: If all of the above methods did not help, you can try using software from the flash drive manufacturer or third-party companies to restore data and correct errors.
5. Contact a service center: If none of the methods listed above worked, it is best to contact a professional data recovery specialist or a service center for help.
It is important to note that with any manipulations with a damaged microSD card, there is a possibility of losing the data permanently. Therefore, before starting work, you should save your data to another device (at least copy them).
