Restoring files on a computer
Restoring files on the computer may be necessary if they are deleted, damaged or lost. In this article, I will talk about various methods of file recovery.
1. Check the Recycle Bin: If you've recently deleted any files, the first place to check is your computer's Recycle Bin. Open it and see if there are files you need. If so, just put them back in their place.
2. Use data recovery software: There is a large amount of special software for data recovery from a hard disk or other data storage devices (flash drives, memory cards). Some of the most popular such programs are Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, Disk Drill. Install only verified software from official sites of manufacturers!
3. Contact specialists: If the previous two steps do not help or if you are doing something complicated/unusual, it is best to ask for help from experienced IT specialists or the service center of the relevant company. They will be able to conduct a deeper analysis of your device and possibly recover lost files.
4. Regular backup: To avoid problems with data recovery in the future, I strongly recommend making regular backups of all your valuable files. This can be both a local (creating duplicates on a second hard drive or flash drive) and a cloud (using specialized data storage services) method.
It is important to remember that the faster you start the recovery process after deleting/losing a file, the greater the chances of its successful recovery!
